  3. The renowned and celebrated red Fort that took a whopping 95 years to build completely by the three Mughal emperors was initially white in color. It was made out of limestone, later the British painted it red so as to properly preserve it.
  4. The 2010 Commonwealth Games that were hosted by Delhi was the most expensive Commonwealth to be ever hosted. 
  5. It has the 13th largest metro rail network in the world. Yes, you heard it right. the 13th largest metro rail network on the entire planet and the breathtaking metropolis. It is home to the 193 km long metro network metro stations in Delhi uniquely designed to guide blind people and is extremely public friendly. 
  6. The heritage of Delhi is so rich that it is home to 212 monuments out of which the most infamous ones are Qutub Minar, India Gate, Red Fort, Lotus Temple, Purana Kila, Rashtrapati Bhawan, etc.
  7. Delhi is currently the second most populated city in the world is the capital of the country which holds the second position in being the most populous country after China. The population is around 25 million.
