Divided into two sections – traditional art and modern art spanning the last 150 years – the gallery provides a holistic view of India’s artistic evolution. Visitors can marvel at modern art sculptures, delve into oil paintings depicting the Indian landscape by European traveler artists, and explore photographs capturing the essence of India by notable Indian photographers over the past 80 years.
In addition to its vast collection, the National Gallery of Modern Art hosts regular lectures, seminars, and conferences aimed at preserving modern art and providing study materials for enthusiasts and scholars.
