The students of IIM Raipur are organizing Equinox 7.0 in association with IDBI Bank; a fest that promises to be a Mega conclave of business acumen and cultural heritage to be held from 27th – 29th January 2017.
Flash Mob
The team behind the event also revealed a glimpse of the event and its scale to local folks at Magneto mall and Ambuja mall. On a warm Sunday afternoon, the students of IIM Raipur performed a flash mob at Magneto and Ambuja Mall. The shoppers were taken by surprise when the students suddenly broke into a dance. The enthusiasm and energy were highly appreciated by the audience who within a matter of minutes grew many-folds making the flash mob a success. This flash-mob was intended for the promotion of IIM Raipur’s Equinox 7.0, eastern India’s premier B-school event.

Christened in 2011, Equinox, today, stands as one of the biggest businesses cum cultural fests to be reckoned in Eastern India within a short span of 5 years. The journey started from being a student-driven initiative to celebrate talent, knowledge, and culture in 2011. 2012 witnessed a major concert by the band “Indian Ocean”, which opened the footfall to even wider segments of students coming not only from premier b-schools but also from leading technological institutions.
By 2015, Equinox became the largest business cum cultural fest of the region witnessing a total of around 50,000 hits on the website and a footfall of over 8000 over 3 days. Today it is a national extravaganza of gargantuan proportions. It has evolved and diversified to become an epitome of unparalleled professionalism as well as raw fervor. Keeping up with the tradition, Equinox 7.0, sponsored by IDBI and co-sponsored by Chhattisgarh Tourism Board, plans to grow bigger in terms of the platform it provides for budding leaders and larger in terms of the audience it can reach. The whole gamut of events will be conducted on the 27th, 28th, and 29th of January in one of the fastest-growing cities in India, Raipur.
This year the event is being organized on an unprecedented scale with a bigger budget and more participation than ever before. The various clubs of the college are gearing up to create the most challenging of competitions which will rack the brains of the best minds of the country on one hand and will provide unbridled fun to the participants on the other. One can also tune into MY FM, the radio partner of Equinox 7.0.
