Eating a healthy diet is very important for covid-19 what we eat and drink can affect our immunity.
While no foods or dietary supplements can prevent or cure COVID-19 infection, healthy diets are important for increasing immunity. It can also reduce the chance of developing other health problems, including obesity, heart disease, diabetes, and some types of cancer.
Tips for maintaining a healthy diet-
- Eat Fruits and vegetables-
- Every day eat whole grains and for snacks have raw fruits or boiled vegetables.
- Cut intake of salts-
- Salt intake should be limited to 5 grams a day.
- Intake limited amounts of fats and oils-
- Replace butter, and ghee with healthier fats oil when cooking.
- Select low-fat versions of milk and dairy products.
- Boil or steam your food while cooking avoid frying.
- Sugar intake should be limited
- Avoid giving sugary foods to children.
- Choose fresh fruits instead of sweet snacks.
- Limit intake of sweets and sugary drinks.
- Drink enough water-
- Drinking water instead of beverages is a simple way to limit your intake of sugar and excess calories.
- Avoid alcohol.
- Breastfeed babies and young children.
