Kajal Sachdev from a simple home-maker, a fighter, an entrepreneur to a social worker; her journey has been very inspiring. Kajal Sachdev, a mother of three kids is super active and kind. Life was smooth and happy, until the day she discovered that her 2nd child had Thalassemia. But hats off to her positivity and her spirit, from that day till today, instead of sitting back and crying, she has left no stone unturned to eradicate Thalassemia from not just her family, but from the whole of Chhattisgarh.
Thalassemia is a blood inherited disorder which is passed down through families in which the body makes an abnormal form of hemoglobin. It is a kind of genetic blood disorder.
Shri Krishna Sindhu Trust was formed by Mr. Gurmukh Ahuja, who is also the director of the trust today and Mrs. Sachdev who actively works for this noble cause. The trust provides free treatment to Thalassemia patients, ranging from young ones to all middle-aged people also. The actual cost of the treatment including the cost of the blood ranges from Rs. 2000 to 4000 per 15 days, which is definitely not affordable by many even today. Mrs. Sachdev aids their treatment and provides the best possible in-house services in her care center. More than 350 patients from the whole of Chhattisgarh are registered with them today.
