PATHAAN – SRK’S COMEBACK AFTER EXILE

After a long four-year hiatus, Shah Rukh Khan is back on the big screen with Pathaan, an ambitious action thriller that marks his return to the silver screen. Pathaan is an event film that lives up to its hype and is sure to have the audience at the edge of their seats.

With an average script and subpar VFX, it is Shah Rukh Khan’s presence that saves the day. He plays the lead role and lets his body do the talking with powerfully evocative eyes and a formidable presence as a full-fledged action hero. It’s refreshing to see SRK in this new territory where action overrides emotions, proving that he is not just a master of romantic or conversational roles.

John Abraham also shines in Pathaan with his solid portrayal of Jim. He is menacing and makes a classic case of the villain overshadowing the hero in some parts. Meanwhile, Deepika Padukone perfectly embodies the role of a double-crossing, morally ambiguous agent, but her chemistry with SRK feels underdeveloped. Although the background score doesn’t quite feel in sync with the scenarios, the overall effect is still impressive.

Dimple Kapadia also gives a standout performance, lending much-needed gravitas and emotional heft to the proceedings. Her sincerity is unmatched, and you wish the other characters could exude the same level of depth as her.
Pathaan reunites Karan and Arjun to give the audience an iconic whistle moment as Bhai meets the Badshah. While some of the dialogues are frivolous, the film has all the ingredients of a masala potboiler, including slow-mo entries, and an iconic battle of good versus evil.

Overall, Pathaan is a movie that lives up to its hype, delivering a high-energy, action-packed blockbuster that is sure to entertain. The film’s star power and style are impressive, and the story has enough twists and turns to keep the audience engaged. Shah Rukh Khan’s return to the big screen is nothing short of a triumph, and he proves once again that he is still the undisputed king of Bollywood.
