Anwesha Bhatia is a popular dancer who participated in various dance reality shows, nationally and Internationally. She is the pride of Chhattisgarh for bringing glory and recognition to the state. Hailing from Bhilai, this 15-year-old artist is pursuing her schooling and undertaking various projects in the dance and acting industry. Let us hear the inspiring story of this young champ in her own words:
Like every other kid, I started dancing by watching television. My first stage appearance goes back to the time when I was in the first grade. My teacher motivated me to participate and I did. That event boosted my confidence and overcame my shy baby side. My first memorable performance was in class 3rd when I performed Kaali Tandav. I was overwhelmed by the praise I received from my teachers. Since then, my teachers always uplifted me in my dance while they equally supported me in my studies. As far as studies are concerned, I religiously dedicate my time to studying. I do have a packed schedule but I make sure that my studies never get compromised. And worth mentioning, I love science!
The Reality Show Journey
At an early age, I started
participating in state and national-level dance competitions. The first show that I participated in was Dance India Dance little masters as a 5-year-old, I participated in India’s Got Talent season 7 and was a semi-finalist in it. Then I gave auditions for Super Dance chapters 1 and 2. I was not selected for either of them. Then I participated in Super Dancer Maharashtra, and I came out as the first runner-up in it. For this achievement, I got a wild card opportunity in Super Dancer chapter 3.
At Super Dancer, I saw the real hustle and bustle that goes behind a reality show. I cherished beautiful bonds with the judges, my fellow contestants, the entire team, and the crew members there. There was an ocean of learning at the show as each one at the show had their forte. Apart from these, meeting celebrities and renowned personalities taught me to stay grateful and grounded for all the success in life. It was a lifetime experience for me.
Currently, I have projects for web series and likewise. As far as reality shows are concerned, I would love to participate again and show versatility in other dance forms there.
