Kshitij Chandrakar : Modelling is to understand the art of selling

a good model is one in whose presence, the worth of the things he is endorsing increases, be it clothes, shoes, wearables or even another person.

I have been modelling since 2015. Some of the brands that I have worked with are Beardo, Reliance Trends, Brand Factory, Rass Odisha, Vogue Vari, Bilasa Handloom, Shubhkamna, Honor Mobile, Myntra, International Hair Show 2018, INIFD etc. My work field is in Kolkata, Odisha, Raipur and Mumbai.

My perspective of being a model is like being a mannequin or a hanger with clothes on it. When you put clothes on these mannequins or hanger, the value of the clothes we wear, increases. Similarly, a good model is one in whose presence, the worth of the things he is endorsing increases, be it clothes, shoes, wearables or even another person.

In this industry, you can sell anything if you have what it takes to sell it. The looks of a person are its complexion, the colour of eyes, the shape of the face, fitness or you belong to any community, caste or creed, these things do have a benefit, but these are just add-ons to your dream of becoming a model. I can very well say, if you can sell, you could surpass all these factors and still become a successful model.
