Silver lining to the covid pandemic is the realization that happiness can also be found just within the 4 walls of our house. In these extraordinary times, we’ve found solace in our family and close ones. And well, the fate of celebrations is also leaning in the same direction. From intimate weddings to cozy birthdays, the trend is here to stay and we can’t be happier. ⠀
Essentially, celebrations have become an everyday thing – eating a meal together, evenings filled with board games and endless cups of chai, hogging on pakora while it rains cats and dogs.⠀
⠀
We truly believe that the right ambiance is necessary to set the mood right. Just a few elements from your everyday home decor stuff put right and kaboom!! You have your little party ready to roll. All you have to do is- ⠀
1. Find a nice space. (a balcony, farmhouse, terrace, veranda, or a corner by the window)⠀
2. Add low seating. (a simple mat/floor bed can do wonders) and a small table. ⠀
3. Fetch an assortment of potted plants from your garden and place them at both ends of your seat. (Make sure to get some tall ones and some shorties). This will add warmth and texture to your whole setup and make it super cozy!⠀
4. For the backdrop you can just tie a nice bed sheet or add more plants or even strings of photos! ⠀
5. For the table, place the cutlery and add cute tiny decorative pieces with more plants, candles, and anything that holds a special memory for you. (This could double up as great conversation builders too😬)and a handwritten card will be a cherry on top! ⠀
6. Lastly, throw in some pillows and DON’T forget to add lights! Cover the whole thing in fairy lights – make it into a canopy, put it in a glass bottle, tie them into tiny balls or just spread it on the floor. ⠀
