Our generation has never seen an epidemic of this scale. When government of India decided to lockdown the country to prevent the spread of corona virus, it puts the entire country on halt.Though every citizen of india is affected of this lockdown but the migrant workers, labours and the marginalised community members are the worst affected.⁣
⁣
We all have seen footages and pictures of migrant labours walking hundreds of kilometers with their families because they can’t feed them, and left without shelter in the city they went to work.⁣
⁣
This epidemic has also tested our solidarity and empathetic attitude, about how much are we willing to share and support. Keeping in mind that the world around us is troubled we as social enterprise decided to do our bits.⁣

We initiated Project Rahat that is meant to offer meals to needy who are left with no shelter or food because of lockdown situation. Nukkad with the support of empathetic individuals started with 50 meals a day and now preparing and distributing 400 plus meals a day.These nutritious meal packets are then being distributed in association with Municipal corporation.⁣ To make these operation efficient we rely on your generous contribution. So far we have received wholesome support from empathetic individuals and organizations that has helped us feed approx 3500 Plus individuals.⁣ Organization like us and individuals have come forward in large numbers to help the needy and make sure that no one sleeps empty stomach. The society has seen exemplary deeds of kindness and compassion.⁣ We hope that we come out as a strong and more emotional balanced community post this epidemic, a society that has large heart and kind attitude that welcomes everyone with open arms.⁣ Stay safe.
