The evolvement of Education System

With the time being, the education system has changed a lot. Previously, a child started learning basics from his home and then went to school, then college, and so on.

Today we have playschools, online sessions, and various new techniques to make the learning process more fun.

In an earlier period, we had Gurukuls! These Gurukuls are now overtaken by “Boarding schools” which in addition provides a facility of “day boarding” and complete hostel” as well. Thus, simplifying the needs.

All this evolvement and changes can be understood by a simple flow diagram –

Balmandirs (Then) – Playschools (Now)
Gurukuls (Then) – Boarding Schools (Now)
Colleges (Then) – Colleges (Now with changed rules)
Offline studies (Then) – Online studies (Now)

Changes are good and should be accepted with time. We need to evolve ourselves as well. But these changes should be accepted in such a way, that they don’t kill your root values.

Here are a few tips on how to cope with the evolving education system –

1) Try building a strong foundation of “Sanskars” in Your Child: No matter how much the system changes, basic education will start always from home. Thus, always build a very concrete foundation in your child to make him stand unmatched.

2) Involvement with Real World: Being theoretically profound is essential but being practically expert is a necessity. Always make them implement the learnings. This will help them keep those learnings alive always.
3) Understanding, Empathy: Students, these days look more for someone who understands them in their way. They look for matching perspectives. Try to match up to their thinking. This will build a trustworthy strong bond, and they will never look for anything outside the house.

4) Be technically sound: This era is gadget dependent era. Covid is the cherry on the cake to this. Online sessions, online courses have become so popular that learning technologies are now very important.
