Tips of perfect film making for beginners by K. Shiv Kumar

Tips of perfect filmmaking for beginners :

Tip Number 1: FINDING STORIES.

If you want a story for your short film or any documentary film, try to adapt your story from your nearby surroundings. It will help you to build your own unique story along with it. You will be more able to understand your characters and story well and it’s familiar to you. In fact, if you have that filmmaker instinct inside you, you will instantly develop a story by just looking at any particular person walking around the streets. Once you’re done with your story just pen it down in a hard paper or in your phone notes or in a scriptwriting application.

Tip Number 2: LOCATION HUNTS.

The best way to find the perfect location for your story is to explore as much as you can. If you’re searching an outdoor location make sure the frames must look beautiful and cinematic and avoid direct sunlight areas as it will burn your videos while shooting if you’re shooting on a sunny day. Likewise, if you’re shooting indoors make sure it should have proper natural lighting to pass through windows and ventilation.

Tip number 3: SHOOTING

To beginners I would suggest the best device to shoot is your cell phone. Forget about the fancy gears just make sure your camera alignment is straight and avoid jerks and pixels while shooting. Use multiple angles which includes long shot, mid shot and close-ups it will add variety to your content.
