Ankit Seth : Journalism, mass communication, cooking, UPSC, IAS!!!v
Being a son to parents who always kept moving has added to my life a whole lot of experience and exposure that I could have ever asked for.
My parents are both teachers who work abroad. I have a sister who has taught me why a woman and a man should be equals. I have been travelling all my life. Meeting different people and studying in a multicultural environment.
Always performing better in academics, having taken part in extracurriculars and profoundly good at sports I did justice to myself during my school days by doing what I want. Achieving awards and certificates in every aspect.
Always pushing me, to go conquer what I wanted to do, was my mother who is a very beautiful person in and out. During the free time I had left for myself I used to write and cook.
Cooking
The reason why I learned to cook was that my parents wanted me and my sister to be independent at a very young age but soon it became a passion.
Ankit decided to pursue cooking as a career I was selected to go to the Institute of hotel management Hyderabad through the All India based entrance exam. But soon enough I had to drop it due to various reasons.
Still taking life head-on. I did my graduation in Journalism and Mass communication. Learned the various ways in which I could reach out to the mass.
Now looking at the current scenario. My goals have adapted. I have decided to crack the UPSC and become an IAS officer.
UPSC & IPS
The motivation came from my mother who recognised my capabilities and suggested I pursue them. Preparing for it I have realised why I need to actually conquer this. The change I seek can only be acquired with power. And not by misusing it but by using it in the right manner.
Somewhere along the line, I had read this quote that imprinted in me a vision . The quote said, “ You don’t want to look like your heroes you want to see like your heroes “. This has always inspired me. Dr BR Ambedkar while drafting the constitution put his belief and faith in future leaders.
Ankit envisioned a prosperous, glorifying nation that is built by the people and for the people. I consider him my hero and I would like to see through his eyes any day.
Happy Birthday, Sir 🎉
