In an in-depth interview, Aditi shares her entrepreneurship and architecture journey. Here are some excerpts from the interview.
Take us through your background and your journey, please;
I come from Kotma a small town near Katni in Madhya Pradesh. I did my schooling at St. Joseph’s convent school, Kotma. Higher Secondary from N.H Goel World School, Raipur. Thereafter pursued my Bachelor’s in architecture from Dr A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow. Coming from a small town I didn’t have much exposure nor was I aware of diversifications for career growth. But I always had a strong desire to be independent and rise above the gender inequality that has always made women miserable. To bring about this change in society I decided to begin gender equity from home. Nothing in life came easy to me. Even after failures and breakthroughs in life I pushed myself forward and continued. I always found myself alone struggling to find the way out and take a stand for myself. Then gradually I realised the power of vibrations and the universe which moved me towards completing my Masters in Vastu from All India Institute Of Occult Science, Delhi.
Tell me about your interests and your coming up as an entrepreneur instead of a Job
Since childhood. I had a deep connection to nature and I was interested in creative stuff like art and craft, writing, photography, and travelling. I never liked to be bounded on any matter and always wanted to create my own identity in any work I do. I have been out of the box and every action of mine makes me stand out. Hence job was not my cup of tea. The year 2020 made my path clearer as due to covid, people lost jobs there were no vacancies companies began shutting down. Then I started working as a freelancer and gradually took the step towards setting up my own company. I even started organising camps for kids to make them indulge in creative activities.
What would be your words of advice to young women and girls?
I wish to be an inspiration to all women because my journey has not been smooth it was always a rollercoaster ride. The most important thing that held me on was my desire to be independent and my belief. Being emotional, sensitive and kind has created lots of setbacks which would sometimes make me think I don’t fit to this world. Living here means being cruel, selfish, lying and all other concepts in trend. But I never left my true identity. I would say “Be strong and independent women, not only financially but even emotionally.” and believe in yourself even when others don’t. There will always be obstacles and restrictions, and trust me they will shape you better. You just need to move forward and grab the opportunities. And most important of all never stop being Kind.
