Well, as we talk about fitness, let me tell you that everyone wants to be fit, but no-one wants to put in the effort to get fit. The reason behind this is the struggles behind working out and sticking to eating right.
So, let’s start with the definition of “FITNESS”, what according to you is fitness? Is it just having your dream body or a flat stomach or all about those abs and biceps?
These are the myths of fitness, looking slim, having a flat stomach, and having that perfect set of abs.
But neither of these defines what fitness is.
FITNESS is something which is above all, it is the combination of BEING STRONG (Strength) + BEING ABLE TO GET GOING FOR LONG (Stamina/Endurance) + BEING FLEXIBLE (Flexibility) + BEING ENERGETIC (Activeness).
So, let’s see how we can achieve all of the above –
1) We can achieve STRENGTH by WEIGHT TRAINING at the gym,
2)) We can achieve ENDURANCE by CARDIOVASCULAR EXERCISES like Jogging, Cycling, Swimming, Zumba, etc.
3) We can achieve FLEXIBILITY by post-workout stretching and YOGA.
4) We can achieve ACTIVENESS by proper diet (Keeping MACROS & MICROS intake in check) and by proper resting (6-8hrs of sound sleep).
In today’s busy and luxurious life, the one thing that most people don’t understand is that as your body needs WATER, FOOD, and SLEEP; the same way it needs a physical workout as well, it shouldn’t be a want because it’s a NEED.
