Today she will throw some light on choosing the apt jewellery by the neckline of your outfit.
Here are some tips just for you:
1. Round / Scoop neck: There is a lot of space in this kind of neckline and the idea is to fill it. Any jewellery with bigger stones and softer angles works well. Dramatic neckpieces with a thick single strand or multiple strands also look good.
2. V shape neck: The length of jewellery should be proportionate with the plunging V neckline. This type of neckline calls for similar v-shaped or angular necklaces.
3. Sweetheart neck: A necklace with a wider pendant to balance the open space in this neckline would be apt. Go for curves and soft angles. The necklace length shouldn’t be too long. Chokers with a pendant and princess necklaces will create an everlasting impact.
4. Asymmetrical neck: Flaunt a stylish and sophisticated look with asymmetrical necklaces with this neckline. You could also skip the necklace and experiment with oversized studs or shoulder-duster earrings to pose a dramatic look.
5. Boat neck: A classic style needs a classic accessory. A string of pearls never goes wrong with boat neck outfits – western or Indian. It adds both length and depth and adds poise to the attire. For a more charismatic and glamorous look, you can try wearing a pair of oversized studs and a broad bracelet. The same would go for high neck dresses as well.
6. Shirts or collared neck: In this type of neckline, wear a choker if you have a long neck. Wear a necklace with a pendant that sits above the last open button for short necks. Statement Necklaces look stunning with collared shirts, one that ends just below your shoulders.
