Technology is something that comes naturally to some people and some need to learn it. Here are some tips from Harshit Agrawal that he thinks can help in any aspect of your life be it, managing your home chores, your study, or even your work⠀
.⠀
For Time Management:⠀
Using your phone to manage time is an extremely important life hack. Since WFH started, I’ve been using Google Calendar to plan my day and the week.⠀
.⠀
Just simply enter whatever commitments you make to someone on Google Calendar, for example, a promise to help someone to learn how to cook, drive a car, or even a sales meeting or a simple video call. Be sure you enter it in your calendar and the chances that you’ll follow through increases by almost 85%. This also teaches you to say no and not schedule something else at that time⠀
.⠀
For maintaining Focus:⠀
We all suffer from losing focus while trying to do something productive. A simple notification, call, or even a thought sucks you out from your work and lands you somewhere else.⠀
.⠀
A technique called Pomodoro (lots of apps available) can help you to stay focused. It makes you work in 25 mins stretches with T minute gaps dedicated for distractions. It’s effective and makes you complete your work by giving it undivided focus⠀
.⠀
.⠀
For unplugging:⠀
The most important part of using your phone is using it less 😅⠀
.⠀
Android and iOS both now have a ‘Digital Wellbeing’ or a ‘Screen Time’ feature. A lot of us end up spending too much time on our phones, tracking our usage can help you start using your phone less and spending more time outside, or with your friends and family. This is a must-do if you have kids using smartphones or tablets.⠀
.⠀
In the last few weeks, I have built a habit of not touching my phone for the first 2 hours after I wake up, and it has helped me.⠀
