Tips on Branding by Srishti Bachwani

Every social media platform has its algorithm and has its own set of the audience; you need to make content specific to the platform that you are posting on.

Tips to make you a brand through Social Media Platforms:

Create strategies for all the social media platforms– Not everything needs to be posted on all the social media platforms. Every social media platform has its algorithm and has its own set of the audience; you need to make content specific to the platform that you are posting on. Create a separate social media strategy for all the platforms that you use.

Make sure you have the answer to:
What post works for this platform?
Who are the people using this platform?
Why are you using that platform?

Be Consistent – You cannot be a brand overnight; you need to be consistent. Decide a time at which you will post and be regular with the posts. As per the research, the best posting times based on the industry are:

Travel and Tourism – 9 AM to 1 PM
Media and Entertainment – 12 PM TO 3 PM
Food and Beverage – 12 PM
Retail- 12 PM
Education- 4 PM or 5 PM

Quality Content– To get famous through social media, you must post quality content on your account. Per day 95 million photos and videos are posted only on Instagram, people will follow you only when the content is good. Focus on the message that you want to send.

Keep an eye on what’s trending– If you can see a pattern that is being followed by everyone, you can align it with your messaging then use it, it will help you increase visibility. But never create content if it is trending and you can not relate to it, the prime objective always remains to stay focused on the message that you want to send out.

Use Hashtags– Hashtags when used properly help you reach out to the audience that is interested in the type of content that you share. But if you use hashtags inappropriately it can hamper your credibility. A good hashtag is memorable, unique, and relevant to your content.

Measure and Analyze your results– To make sure you are getting the best results from your social media marketing, you must track and measure your efforts. Some of the metrics that you should keep an eye on are- Impressions, engagement, and mentions.
