Life Skills management through homeopathy

People who lack purpose in life are the ones who need a life skill training the most. How a person reacts to his environment can influence one’s future disposition.

This clearly emphasizes on the significance of Life skills management. ‘Life Skills’ refers to the skills one needs to make the most out of life. Life skills are usually associated with managing and living a better quality of life. They help us to accomplish our ambitions and live to our full potential.

In a nutshell, any skill that is useful in your life can be considered a life skill.

Dr Meeta from Raipur ChhattisgarhAs a homeopath, Dr. Meeta understands that illness comes in many forms, and not just physical. And it deepens as vitality is dampened. In the view of homeopathy, illness is the imbalance in vitality. When the vivacity diminishes and illness sets in on different levels of wellbeing, it takes time for the body to revive itself again. This paves a way for the medicine to function. It takes a medicine with a meticulous holistic outlook and a keen approach to knowing the direction of cure. Homeopathy is one such medicine which cures an illness completely steeping down to the root cause.

Dr. Meeta Nihlani has always believed in The Aphorism 9 of Organon of Homeopathy. To elaborate; in the healthy condition of man, the spiritual vital force (autocracy), the dynamis that animates the material body (organism), rules with unbounded sway, and retains all the parts of the organism in admirable, harmonious, vital operation, as regards both sensations and functions, so that our indwelling, reason – gifted mind can freely employ this living, healthy instrument for the higher purposes of our existence.

During the treatment, Dr. Meeta tries to evaluate a person on all the levels of wellbeing, viz. physical, emotional, mental and spiritual. Only after she gauges ones performance in life at these four levels, she proceeds with her treatment.

Tension lifestyle skills and management

A person grows at all ages. There are various physiological changes and psychosocial maturation. As a person matures cognitively, their mental process becomes more analytical. But this is also the time, when one does experimentation and takes risk, faces negative peer pressure, has to take uninformed decisions on crucial issues, relationship problems, etc. This is a period of increased potential but also one of greater vulnerability, increased intellect and reduced emotions. The intelligence may help us to tackle the outside world of objects but we also need emotional intelligence, the means to handle the inner world of emotions and thoughts. Emotional development is to a large extent dependent on how a child perceives his parents.

Here are a certain examples from our daily lives where we need life skills management:

  • When at school or college, we need study skills.
  • When buying a house, decision making skills and negotiation skills may be needed.
  • In order to be good at our work places, we need to hone employability skills.
  • Leadership, team work and presentation skills may be useful, along with a whole host of other skills, when we are working.
  • We need to have parenting skills when in a family.
  • At certain stages in life when we tend to give up, we resort to various addictions like alcohol, drugs, tobacco in various forms, etc., which means that we may lack skills to love ourselves.
  • When we fail to have healthy relations, we tend to spend more time on the internet, social networking sites or apps.
  • When we fail to recognize the real self, we harm ourselves.
  • Time management and organizing skills are likely to become important in our everyday lives.
  • There will be times throughout our life when we’ll need conflict resolution, stress-management and problem solving skills too.

Emotional intelligence includes awareness of one’s feelings and that of others, empathy and compassion. Basically, he can be a nurturing parent to himself as he grows if he has a good Emotional quotient. Emotional intelligence means balanced mind. Equanimity of mind means that we don’t react under pressure. Once we learn to understand out “Triggers”, we become our Masters rather than falling in the trap of addictions.

However..

Perhaps the most important life skill is the ability and willingness to learn.

Learning new skills in life helps us to understand the world around us in a much better way and it also equips us with tools that we need to live a more productive and fulfilling life, finding ways to cope with the challenges that life, inevitably, throws at us.
